Brazilian Portuguese with its open vowels and European Portuguese with its heavily reduced ones are both recognised, so the variety in your video is not something you have to declare first.
Diacritics that change the word
The til on ã and õ, the cedilla on ç, and the acute and circumflex accents are all written correctly. In Portuguese these are not decoration — avô and avó are different people.
Everyday speech, not just formal register
Contractions like pra and tá, and the informal registers that dominate Brazilian social video, are transcribed as spoken rather than silently corrected into formal written Portuguese.

Brazilian and European Portuguese are not interchangeable
Treating them as one language is where most automatic Portuguese subtitling falls over. The written forms are close, and since the 1990 orthographic agreement they are closer still. The spoken forms are not close at all.
European Portuguese reduces unstressed vowels heavily, to the point where they vanish and consonants cluster together in ways a model trained on Brazilian audio will not segment correctly. Brazilian Portuguese keeps its vowels open and full, which makes it easier to transcribe but introduces its own problem: the gap between how people speak and how Portuguese is written down. Nobody says para a, they say pra, and a subtitle that reads para a when the speaker clearly said pra feels stiff and wrong.
Both varieties are recognised from the audio, and informal contractions are transcribed as they were said. If you want the formal written form instead, change it in the editor — but the default is what the speaker actually produced, which is what subtitles should reflect.

Does it transcribe informal speech like pra and tá?
It transcribes what was said, so spoken contractions appear as spoken. If you would rather publish the formal written form, edit it in the transcript before exporting.
Can it handle Brazilian slang and regional expressions?
Common slang across the major Brazilian regions transcribes well. Very local or very new expressions are worth a quick check in the editor, which is true of any language moving fast on social video.
Which file format should I use for Portuguese subtitles?
Export .srt for YouTube, Vimeo and editing software, or .vtt if you are embedding the video on your own site with an HTML5 player. Both come from the same transcript, so you can take both.
